After working intensely on the website for the past two weeks, and not quite as intensely over the past 4 months, Body Icing by Jennifer is now up and running. http://www.bodyicingbyjennifer.com
I am still working on fixing some of my META tags and a few of the links that I have found to not be working right. I changed the design just over the last two days. after finding the original design to not be overly friendly color-wise on the eyes when viewed on higher quality monitors with better video cards. Unfortunately I've been working on an ancient laptop (ancient in computer geek terms--6 years old) so my video card and screen are not quite up to date, thus I didn't know the color scheme was horrific.
I would like to encourage everyone to sign up with me to be a featured artist on the website. I am offering free advertising on the site to fellow jewelry artists. You can email me a few pictures of pieces you feel represent your design collections (up to 5 pics) choose one as your main photo. A short bio (preferably not a sales pitch) but a little about yourself as an artist, how you got into the craft, and maybe your goals in terms of jewelry. I will take sales pitchy sounding bios, but I would prefer a little more personal feel to it, since those catch people's attention more than a sales pitch. Everyone likes to know a little about the artist, it is our inner busy body at work.
I am not full done with the site, and expect it to continue to evolve over the next year into what I really want. I am aiming to have 100 articles posted on the site by the end of May. So keep an eye out for new and exciting information to come.
I have the forum for the site up and running and would like to invite everyone here to sign up. Over the next year I would like to start having some contests on the forum and I am currently looking for some people to sponsor prizes. I plan to have contest entries getting their own full page ads on the site when I get to that point. So the more people to join the forum the better the contests will be.
I hope everyone enjoys the site and hope to see you on the forum!
Jennifer
