Wedding Season starts

With the New Year here it is time for all those gals that got rings for Christmas to start browsing for their weddings. Time for me to start creating some new designs for the Summer weddings. My first item is a new polymer clay necklace and earrings done in tiny calla lilies with swarovski crystal or pearl centers. Since my daughters flower website sells a lot of calla lilies in brown I have made the necklace in both white and brown. Check out www.budget-

Further explorations

Polymer clay is giving me lots to explore. I have made many types of beads and here is a picture using some seashell beads created using pale blue pearl and transluscent clay. I combined them with Swarovski crystal and pale blue potato pearls.

I like the fact that polymer allows you to create a bead with two directions of st

New Rayne stitch bracelet

Desert Designs shared the directions for Rayne Stitch with me. Compared to other types of spiral stitches I have tried this came together very quickly. Here is the picture of my first bracelet using this stitch shown with a hand designed copper clasp.

Blog Newbee

Not only is this my first blog entry, I have only read a couple of others. So welcome and lets see what we can discover.

I found this very exciting as the layers give you so much depth to your beads and they look very much like the glass flame worked beads. I am concerned that the gold leaf will tarnish over time as I have read about problems s

Thanks for your comments Cass, :-) Managing a bead shop is just the coolest job ever. I have always been a wee bit jealous of bead friends overseas, particulary The States and Austrailia, they seem to have the best choice of everything and the bead shops are just heaven, we're a bit slow in the uk. www.bijouxbeads.co.uk is simply the best the uk has to offer and I'm a lucky girl, I work there!

Thanks Desert bunny. It is very difficult to capture the Tiara on film, I would love to show the sparkle of the Swarovki's.
