Hands-On Heaven

A utopia for hands-on creations.

RSS feeds really aren't complicated once you understand what they are.

If you want to receive updates when new stories or information is posted to your favorite websites you can subscribe to their RSS feed. To do that you'll need to sign up for an RSS Reader, Google Reader is one example. After you sign up you'll input the URL's of the RSS feeds you want to subscribe to into your reader. Whenever you log into your reader you will see anything new that has been posted on those sites.

If you want to share certain information with your blog readers or on your site, you can select "Share" under the story. Google then gives you your own URL where your stories will show. You can place that link on your blog so that your readers can see the stories you've selected to show them. It's like using a website editor to update your web page. Whenever you updated your shared stories they will show up on this page.
