Hands-On Heaven

A utopia for hands-on creations.

I made a mounting for a large faceted stone. I do believe this is the easiest way to set a stone of this size or any other faceted stone. I think the pictures are in my photos area. LOL

I'm not crazy about yellow on anything, it's a distressful color for me. But the stone has a checkerboard pattern top and bottom and that made it more interesting to work with. I have several big stones to play with and learn more about setting faceted stones. Of course this ring is not perfect but I'm getting better and they don't scare me like they use to.
Thanks so much for your comments, they mean a lot to me.

This is gorgeous, I want to do something like this, but am feeling quite intimidated, it looks so hard!!!

Not being an expert on making rings, I can only comment from a personal perspective! I LOVE it! I think it's beautiful. Although I would not have anything in my wardrobe to wear with it, I would most certainly go shopping just for an outfit to go along with that ring! You did a fabulous job! :-)
