Hands-On Heaven

A utopia for hands-on creations.

My Chubby Hubby, 60, plays Senior Softball 5 days a week in the desert heat.
I like to do water aerobics and walk (through bead shops!)

Do you climb mountains, scuba, run, sit with the remote and a bag of chips?

I do leg lifts, lift 5lb weights and walk with my friend every other day. I also am running, and I mean errands kind of running all the time too. I barely sit down, is that exercise? lol. When I can I hike and swim.

Well, my jaw gets a good work out with all the eating I do!!! And I love hammering metal!

But seriously, I swim about 4-5 days a week and when it's cold I walk in our lovely neighborhood.

Greetings! I have a 3.5 mile hilly loop that I walk & run. I'm not a runner, so I run a little, walk a little, run down the hills, walk up the hills. I also lift weights & do a lot of hiking in the forest near my house.

I meet with a group of women of all ages once a week to play Duva Ball. Duva is the lady who owns the sand volleyball court, so the game is named after her. Duva ball resembles volleyball only in that we use the court and the ball. We can hit the ball as many times as we like. You can dribble, juggle, and pass it multiple times to your teammates. The side out or point is called only when the ball is dead. Flatlined dead. Great exercise and lots of laughs.

I am also a coach for the Connecticut Senior Olympics women's basketball. Our favorite teams to play are the Maine Hot Flashes and Virgina Nova 50-54.

Sure it counts, Jen. Toddlers are similar to my Seniors, yours are just lower to the ground.

No mountains in South Florida....I don't even like it when I feel seaweed...bag of chips? That sounds good! What kind? I love cheddar and sour cream =) Just kidding...I am actually going to the gym again. I do 30 min cardio then some strength training...I try to at least =)

It certainly sounds like everyone leads busy lives, and some of you get a little exercise squeezed into the day. Ice cream truck, munching on a bag of chips- I think that qualifies as exercise! I no longer run after my grandson, and since my body is falling apart, I do what I can. Everyone seems to have a wonderful, humorous personallity, too. Does typing at the computer count as exercise? I just walked through a big bead store, that should count!

I try to walk to as many places as I can when running errands. Post office, grocery store, etc., if it's in walking distance, I'll forgo the car and just get out. Not only am I saving on gas but it's a great work out.

I just got a new bike yesterday! My kids are having fun riding bikes so we've been going for family rides, but up until yesterday I was always stuck walking and jogging along with DH and the kids! lol

I'm an on and off excerciser, unfortunately! I even have a gym in my home! I ride the stationary bike when I'm in the mood. Sometimes I work on My Pilates machine.
